The detection of viruses, disease biomarkers, physiologically active substances, drugs, and chemicals is of great significance in many areas of our lives. Immunodetection technology is based on the specificity and affinity of antigen-antibody reactions. Compared with other analytical methods such as liquid chromatography coupled with mass spectrometry, which requires a large and expensive instrument, immunodetection has the advantages of simplicity and good selectivity and is thus widely used in
Recently, great progress has been achieved for analytical technologies for biological substances. Traditionally, detection methods for analytes mainly rely on large instrumental analyses. These methods require costly equipment, skilled operators and long measurement time despite their generally low sensitivity. In contrast, immunoassays are becoming more and more popular for it is powerful, inexpensive, and convenient nature. Immunoassay has a range of applications, because it employs antibody,
The beta-agarase C gene (agaC) of a marine bacterium, Vibrio sp. strain PO-303, consisted of 1,437 bp encoding 478 amino acid residues. beta-Agarase C was identified as the first beta-agarase that cannot hydrolyze neoagarooctaose and smaller neoagarooligosaccharides and was assigned to a novel glycoside hydrolase family.
The beta-agarase-d gene (agaD) from a marine bacterium, Vibrio sp. strain PO-303, was cloned and expressed in Escherichia coli. The gene consists of 1,362 bp and encodes a protein of 453 amino acids with a predicted molecular weight of 50,824. The full length of agarase-d consists of a signal peptide, a glycoside hydrolase family 16 catalytic module (CM), and a carbohydrate binding module (CBM). The full length of agarase-d without the signal peptide (rAgaDDeltafull), the catalytic module (rAgaD
Ultra Quenchbody (UQ-body) is a biosensor that utilizes the quenching behavior of the fluorescent dye linked to the antibody V region. When the corresponding antigen is bound to the UQ-body, the fluorescence is restored and allows the detection of target molecules easily and sensitively. In this paper, we constructed UQ-bodies to sensitively detect the human epidermal growth factor receptor 2 (HER2) cancer marker in solution or on cancer cells, which was further used to kill the cancer cells. A
A series of novel 2-phenylaminopyrimidine (PAP) derivatives structurally related to STI-571 were designed and synthesized. The abilities of these compounds to inhibit proliferation were tested in human chronic myeloid leukemia K562 cells. (E)-3-(2-bromophenyl)-N-[4-methyl-3-(4-pyridin-3-yl-pyrimidin-2-ylamino)phenyl]acrylamide(12d) was the most effective cell growth inhibitor and was 3-fold more potent than STI-571.
