Professor JuHee Lee's research lab focuses on advancing health sciences through innovative educational methodologies and interventions targeting diverse populations. The lab explores critical thinking development in nursing education, with a strong emphasis on simulation-based learning and its impact on student competencies. Additionally, the lab investigates health promotion strategies for older adults, particularly through cognitive and physical activity interventions, and examines community-based health and tourism dynamics in rural settings. The integration of qualitative research, health behavior analysis, and translational approaches in dermatological conditions further defines the lab’s interdisciplinary scope.

This research showed that new teaching and learning methods designed to improve critical thinking were generally effective at enhancing critical thinking dispositions.
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to explore experiences among undergraduate nursing students in a high-fidelity simulation education course for a semester. Method: The participants in this study were 10 nursing students in the senior classes and volunteers. Data collection was conducted using a focus group interview for 100 minutes, which was recorded on video tape. Transcribed data was analyzed through qualitative content analysis. The present findings advance prior knowledge by considering variables such as physical and cognitive activity levels to provide novel evidence that can be used to develop interventions for community-dwelling older adults. Thus, to be effective, nursing interventions must seek to improve cognitive function through intellectual stimulation.
There is a need for the development of effective instructional methods to improve learning outcomes in nursing education. Future research is needed related to simulation education as well as management strategies so that learning outcomes can be achieved within different students' learning style.

The findings from this study provide evidence for the development of nursing interventions for older adults. We recommend early screening for a fear of falling and nursing interventions to decrease the fear of falling through enhancing physical activity level and function.
The purpose of this study is to examine the effectiveness of the interventions for improving mental health of caregivers of people with stroke by synthesizing individual studies.
