Jun Miyata教授の研究室は、好酸球関連の炎症性疾患、特に喘息やアレルギー性疾患における脂肪酸代謝の異常とその分子メカニズムを解明することを主眼としています。特に12/15-リパーゼやオメガ3脂肪酸の役割に注目し、好酸球の代謝再編と炎症反応の関連を脂質プロファイル解析を用いて解明しています。また、長期間にわたる疲労を伴うコロナ後症候群(Long COVID)と喘息の関連についても臨床的・疫学的アプローチを展開しています。
