Junko Okuyama教授の研究室は、災害やパンデミックといった社会的・環境的ストレス要因が子ども・思春期に与える心理的影響に注目しています。特に、COVID-19や東日本大震災などの出来事が、若年の発達段階にある人々の心の健康に及ぼす影響を、疫学的・臨床的アプローチで解明しています。また、学校の先生や看護師が実施できる心理的支援のあり方や、回復力(レジリエンス)の育成に関する実践的支援システムの構築にも取り組んでいます。
