K. Miwa教授の研究室では、ハドロン物理学の分野において、中間子とバリオンの反応断面積の高精度測定を主なテーマとしています。特に、J-PARCやKEKの加速器を用いた反応実験を通じて、ニュートリノや標高状態(例:Θ⁺)の存在を精密に探索しています。反応断面積の角度分布や微分断面積の測定から、強い相互作用のメカニズムや新しいハドロン状態の理解を進めています。

The differential cross sections of the Σ^{-}p→Λn reaction were measured accurately for the Σ^{-} momentum (p_{Σ}) ranging from 470 to 650 MeV/c at the J-PARC Hadron Experimental Facility. Precise angular information about the Σ^{-}p→Λn reaction was obtained for the first time by detecting approximately 100 reaction events at each angular step of Δcosθ=0.1. The ${\ensuremath{\Theta}}^{+}$ was searched for via the ${K}^{+}p\ensuremath{\rightarrow}{\ensuremath{\pi}}^{+}X$ reaction using the 1.2 GeV/$c$ ${K}^{+}$ beam at the K6 beam line of the KEK-PS 12 GeV Proton Synchrotron. In the missing mass spectrum of the ${K}^{+}p\ensuremath{\rightarrow}{\ensuremath{\pi}}^{+}X$ reaction, no clear peak structure was observed.
