Hori教授の研究室は、非病原性バクテリアAcinetobacter sp. Tol 5をモデルとして、細菌の表面接着機構とその分子メカニズムを解明する研究を行っています。特に、トリメリック自己送達接着たんぱく質(TAA)の新規同定や、細菌の自己凝集性・非生物的表面への高接着性の分子基盤を解明しています。また、バイオフィルム形成やバイオプロセス効率向上に寄与する細菌の表面特性に関する基礎的・応用的研究を展開しています。
