Kazuyuki Shimada教授の研究室は、特に稀なリンパ腫、特に血管内大細胞リンパ腫(IVLBCL)や原発性効果性リンパ腫(PEL)を対象とした分子病態の解明を主眼としています。血清由来の遊離DNA(cfDNA)を用いた全エクソン解析によるがんゲノムの解明や、リツキシマブ含有治療の臨床的成績の検証も進めており、がんの早期診断・個別化医療の実現に貢献しています。また、血管内皮細胞と代謝酵素の相互作用に関する基礎研究も併せて実施しています。

Our data suggest improved clinical outcomes for patients with IVLBCL in the rituximab era. Future prospective studies of rituximab-containing chemotherapies are warranted.
