Mizuguchi教授の研究室は、構造生物学とバイオインフォマティクスを融合した研究を推進しています。主にタンパク質の構造相同性解析やアラインメント技術の開発を通じて、遺伝子機能の解明や新薬候補のスクリーニングを支援するデータベース(HOMSTRADやCAMPASS)を構築。機械学習を活用した薬物動態予測モデルの構築や、遺伝子ターゲットの優先順位付けを支援する統合型データウェアハウス(TargetMine)の開発も行っています。これらの研究は、創薬の早期段階での失敗リスク低減と、疾患メカニズムの解明に貢献しています。
