Professor Ki Woong Nam's research lab specializes in cerebrovascular and metabolic medicine, focusing on identifying novel biomarkers and metabolic risk factors for stroke and small vessel disease. The lab investigates the role of systemic inflammation, insulin resistance, and homocysteine metabolism in the pathogenesis and progression of ischemic stroke and cerebral small vessel disease (cSVD).
