岸教授の研究室は、肥満や代謝症候群に伴う循環器・代謝疾患の発症メカニズムを解明するため、脂肪細胞から分泌されるホルモン・アディポネクチンの多様な生理的・病態修飾的役割に注目しています。特に、マ Acro膵細胞の極性制御や血管新生、腎障害への保護作用といった、アディポネクチンが免疫・炎症反応や酸化的なストレスに与える影響を分子・細胞レベルで解明しています。また、動物モデルや細胞系を用いた機能解析を通じて、アディポネクチンの治療的応用可能性を追求しています。
