磯部耕教授の研究室は、悪性線種性胸膜盛肉腫(MPM)や非小細胞肺癌(NSCLC)を対象に、がん免疫療法の効果を高める新規治療戦略の開発を主眼としています。SOCSファミリーの遺伝子発現制御やT細胞の細胞性死画作用の評価を通じて、がん細胞の増殖阻害や免疫逃避のメカニズム解明を進めています。特に、がん治療における標的遺伝子の導入や、周辺血のT細胞機能を用いたバイオマーカーの探索が、個別化医療の実現に貢献しています。

Malignant pleural mesothelioma (MPM) is an aggressive tumor with poor prognosis for which an effective therapy remains to be established.
