岡国宏教授の研究室では、低線量CTを用いた3次元骨モデルの構築技術を開発しており、診断精度を維持しながら被ばく線量を大幅に低減する画期的な技術を実現しています。特に、前腕の先天性橈骨・尺骨接合症に対して、血流保持性の筋膜脂肪グラフトを用いた新しい手術法の術後評価を、マーカーレスな骨登録技術を用いて三次元的かつ高精度に解析しています。この研究は、臨床的評価の難しかった術後機能の定量的把握に貢献し、個別化医療の実現に向けた基盤を築いています。

3D bone models constructed from low-radiation dose CT data demonstrated the same level of accuracy as those constructed from normal-radiation dose data. The present simulation system can produce 3D bone models with one-thirtieth of the normal radiation dose in the forearm.
Customized hydroxyapatite implants are helpful for accurate correction and good functional results.

This report describes the clinical application of an ultrasonic aspirator for endoscopic neurosurgery. Eight patients with intraventricular hematoma with complete tamponade of the ventricular system and marked hydrocephalus were treated with the ultrasonic aspirator for endoscopic neurosurgery.
