岡田邦正教授の研究室は、発生生物学と再生医療を柱に、Wntシグナル伝達経路やTsukushi(TSK)タンパク質の機能解明を進めています。特に、TSKが胚発生における軸形成や神経幹細胞の自己複元を調節する extracellular coordinator の役割を解明しており、傷ついた組織の修復や神経再生のメカニズム解明にも貢献しています。また、腸内細菌と哺乳類細胞の相互作用や、網膜の自己修復機構についても革新的な研究を展開しています。
