マーティアス・シルワムバ教授の研究室は、金属リサイクルと環境修復を柱とした持続可能なリソースマネジメントを研究しています。主に亜鉛製錬残渣や鉛汚染土壌から希土類金属や有害重金属を効率的に回収・除去する新規プロセスを開発しており、ゼロ Valent鉄やアルミニウムを用いた同時溶解・沈殿技術が特徴です。環境への影響を低減しつつ貴重な金属を回収する技術的・環境的両立性に重点を置いています。
