高齢化社会に伴う廃棄物処理の重要性に鑑み、都市ごみ焼却灰に含まれる重金属の化学状態と挙動をXAFS・XANESを用いて解明する研究を推進しています。特に、ダイオキシン類の生成機構に深く関与する銅や鉛、亜鉛の化学的挙動を、実焼却灰およびモデル灰を用いて詳細に分析しています。環境中での重金属の移行・安定性を予測し、持続可能な廃棄物管理に貢献することを目的としています。
