Masaru Mimura教授の研究室では、脳血管障害に続く失語症の回復メカニズムと脳血流変化の関連を、SPECTを用いた画像診断と言語機能評価を組み合わせて解明しています。特に、急性期から回復期にかけての脳血流の変化が、言語機能の予後を予測する手がかりとなるかを検討しています。また、前頭前野障害やアルコール性ケルサコフ症候群における時間認知の障害についても、作業記憶とエピソード記憶の役割を解明する研究も進めています。
