Narita教授の研究室は、細胞死・老化・恒常性の維持に深く関与するミトコンドリア機能と細胞内シグナル伝達の分子機構を解明することを目的としています。特に、アポトーシスにおけるシトクロムc放出やミトコンダリアン膜透過性移行(PT)の制御、ならびにmTORとオートファジーのクロストークが細胞老化やがん抑制に果たす役割に注目しています。また、オートファジーの制御機構とその老化・疾患への影響を、細胞内小器官の空間的ダイナミクスと結びつけて研究しています。
