Naoki Noto教授の研究室では、可視光を用いた金属フリーな光酸化還元触媒反応を核に、フッ素を含む炭素骨格の効率的かつ選択的な合成を実現するための新規反応機構の開発を行っています。特に、CF₃、CF₂H、CH₂Fなどのフッ化アルキルラジカルを効率的に生成・利用する触媒系の設計が特徴で、芳香族アルケンや環状エノール誘導体を対象としたスプライシング反応やモノフラーモキシル化反応の開発が進んでいます。また、水中反応や非金属触媒を用いた環境に配慮した合成戦略の構築にも注力しています。
