ミヨシ教授の研究室は、がんの発症機構とがん細胞の多能性特性に着目し、特に消化器がんにおける遺伝子再プログラミングやエピジェネティクスのダイナミクスを解明することを主眼としています。iPS細胞関連因子の導入ががん細胞に未分化状態を誘導するメカニズムや、DNAメチル化解体の動態、がんの予後予測マーカー(TRIB3、SCRN1、ANXA9など)の同定を進めています。がんの治療戦略の高度化に貢献する、がんの幹細胞的特性とエピジェネティクスの交差点を研究しています。
