Professor Sang Baek Koh's research lab specializes in health outcomes assessment and clinical epidemiology, with a focus on patient-reported outcomes and musculoskeletal disorders in chronic disease populations. The lab investigates the reliability and validity of health-related quality of life instruments, such as the SF-36, and explores the prevalence and risk factors of specific complications in patients with diabetes, particularly trigger digits. In order to test scaling assumption, and to assess the validity, reliability, and acceptability of the Short form 36(SF-36) health survey questionnaire, we conducted a survey. Samples were 296 workers who had been employed in small sized companies. All scale passed for item internal consistency(100% sucess rate) and item discriminant validity(100% success .ate). The purpose of this study was to investigate the incidence and characteristics of trigger digits in patients with diabetes. A questionnaire about trigger digit was completed by 544 patients with diabetes. Ten percent of the patients had a history of trigger digits and 4% had multiple digit involvement.
