Satoshi Takizawa教授の研究室は、都市水資源の持続可能性と地下水中の環境問題に焦点を当てた研究を推進しています。特に、ジャカルタ都市における水道管の未整備地域の特定と、過剰な地下水のくみ上げが引き起こす地盤沈下の緩和策を、多層的データ分析を用いて提案しています。また、生理的・病理的条件下での血管緊縮ペプチドの腸管内分布と機能解明にも取り組んでいます。

Although the special region of Jakarta Province (DKI Jakarta), Indonesia, has a large population of 10.9 million, piped water coverage remains at only 64%. Endothelin (ET)-2, an ET family peptide, is highly expressed in intestine. However, the specific distribution and function of ET-2 remain unknown. We elucidated the expression profile and localization of ET-2 in mouse gastrointestinal tract.
