Koh教授の研究室では、ドライアイにおける視覚障害のメカニズムを、波面センサーや角膜トポグラフィーを用いた動的光学品質評価によって解明しています。特に、瞬き後の高次収差(HOAs)の変化や涙膜の動的挙動が視覚機能に与える影響に注目しており、視覚の質(QoV)の客観的評価を目的としています。臨床的応用を視野に入れ、涙膜安定性の非侵襲的評価法の改善にも貢献しています。

Increased HOAs in dry eye at least partially result from SPK above the optical zone. The low tear volume in dry eye may not cause sequential increases in HOAs after blinking.
