Shungo Natsui教授の研究室は、高炉の低還元剤操作によるCO2排出削減を実現するため、固体と気体の連成挙動を高精度に予測するDEM-CFD複合シミュレーション技術の開発を柱としています。大規模高炉におけるガス透過性の低下やブンダーリングの悪化といった運転課題を、粒子レベルの挙動と流れ場の連成解析によって解明しています。特に、酸素高炉やトップガスリサイクル技術におけるガス注入効果の最適化にも応用しています。

A newly developed computational fluid dynamics (CFD) model based on a multi-phase particle method is presented for predicting the entrainment behavior of liquid metal into slag due to rising single bubble.
