Professor Si Eun Lee's research lab specializes in maternal-fetal medicine and perinatal health, focusing on the pathophysiology of preterm birth, intra-amniotic inflammation, and the role of bioactive mediators such as prostaglandins and matrix metalloproteinases in pregnancy complications. The lab investigates biomarkers and imaging techniques to improve early diagnosis and risk stratification in conditions like preterm premature rupture of membranes and funisitis.
