安田孝稀教授の研究室は、生体補修を目的としたリン酸酸化カルシウム系ハイドロゲルやリンアパタイトの生体機能を解明する分野に注力しています。特に、オクタカルシウムリン酸塩(OCP)が骨芽細胞に与える生理的シグナル伝達機構や、血管新生を再現する3Dバイオプリンティング技術の開発が柱です。また、タンパク質の安定性に寄与する水の動的性質や、がん関連遺伝子変異の高感度検出技術についても革新的な研究を展開しています。

There is a long, ongoing debate on how small molecules (osmolytes) affect the stability of proteins. The present study found that change in collective rotational dynamics of water in osmolyte solutions likely has a dominant effect on protein denaturation. We have developed an affinity capillary electrophoresis for gene mutation assay. We show a method for separating a mixture of oligodeoxynucleotides having single-base difference using oligodeoxynucleotide-polyacrylamide conjugate.
