Takanori Takebe教授の研究室は、再生医療のカギをなす「臓器オルガノイド」および「血管化組織工学」に焦点を当てています。特に、ヒト induced pluripotent stem cells(iPSC)から作られるミニatureな肝臓芽(liver buds)のスケーラブルで再現性の高い生産を実現し、臨床応用に向けた基盤を構築しています。また、自己凝集型の自己組織化技術により、血管ネットワークを内蔵した機能的臓器様構造の形成を可能にし、臓器移植の代替戦略を実現する研究を推進しています。
