大迫隆史教授の研究室は、気候変動のメカニズムを解明するため、気候モデルを用いた数値シミュレーションを柱としています。特に、最後の氷期後期における北大西洋回旋環流(AMOC)の急激な変化や、南極氷棚の底部融解メカニズムの解明に注力しています。また、極域の水素同位体比を用いた気温再構成の信頼性向上についても、大気・海洋循環の変化が同位体-温度関係に与える影響を解明しています。
