本研究室では、精神疾患の神経回路メカニズムの解明を目的とし、特に統合失調症や薬物依存の病態に寄与する脳内回路と神経伝達物質系の機能を、遺伝子操作マウスモデルや神経回路レベルの動的制御技術を用いて解明しています。特に、前頭前頭皮質や線条体、伏隔核における神経回路の可塑性や神経伝達物質(ドーパミン・アセチルコリン)のバランスが行動に与える影響を、画像解析や行動実験と組み合わせて研究しています。近年では、人工知能を用いた神経回路のモデリングや、神経回路の非対称的制御の仕組みについても探求しています。
