Nitta教授の研究室は、T細胞の発生と中央自己耐性の形成に不可欠な胸腺微小環境の制御機構を解明することを目的としています。特に、胸腺上皮細胞や線維芽細胞などのストーマル細胞が自己抗原を提示し、自己-reactiveなT細胞を除去するメカニズムや、CCR7による細胞移動が自己耐性に与える影響を分子・細胞生物学的手法を用いて解析しています。また、γδT細胞のサブセットであるIL-17産生性γδT細胞の発生に寄与するシグナル伝達経路についても、シグナル分子の機能を解明しています。
