Hojo教授の研究室では、自動車用超高張力鋼の耐腐食性と靭性を向上させるため、TRIP(加工誘発相変態)効果を活用した鋼材の開発に注力しています。特に、アルミニウムやクロムなどの合金元素の添加が水素吸蔵挙動や遅延破壊強度に与える影響を、水素吸収・放出挙動の精密測定と力学的評価を組み合わせて解明しています。また、水素による破壊挙動と相変態挙動の相関関係を明らかにすることで、高強度鋼の信頼性向上に貢献する評価技術の確立を進めています。

To improve the delayed fracture strength of ultra high-strength low alloy TRIP-aided steels with bainitic ferrite matrix (TBF steels), the effects of aluminum content on hydrogen absorption behavior and delayed fracture properties of 0.2%C–0.2–1.5%Si–1.5%Mn TBF steel were investigated.
