岡村知紀教授の研究室は、高血圧の発症メカニズムと血管内分泌系、特にレニン・アンジオテンシン系の役割に注目した生体防御機構の解明を主な研究テーマとしています。特に二腎1クリップモデルを用いた血圧上昇と腎素活性の動態変化の解析により、高血圧の持続的維持機構の理解を進めています。また、血管内皮機能やアンジオテンシン変換酵素の役割に関しても、心血管疾患の予防的アプローチの基盤を模索しています。

The possible role of the renin-angiotensin system in the maintenance of hypertension in two-kidney, one clip hypertensive rats was studied.
