Toyofumi F. Chen‐Yoshikawa教授の研究室は、肺移植や胸腹部外科学における画像診断・手術支援技術の高度化を柱としています。3D-CTを活用した術前シミュレーションや、蛍光画像をリアルタイムで臓器表面に投影する新規プロジェクションマッピング技術の開発により、肺がんや移植後の肺障害の精密な診断と安全な手術を実現しています。特に、インジゴカイニン緑色(ICG)を用いた画像ガイドド手術や、動的な再建手術プロセスマップの開発は、手術の正確性と安全性を飛躍的に向上させています。
