Breath-hold MRCP with an FSE technique depicts the pancreatic duct well in patients with chronic pancreatitis and demonstrates narrowing, dilatation, and filling defects with moderate to high accuracy.
Magnetic resonance cholangiopancreatography (MRCP) has replaced direct cholangiography and pancreatography in many instances. Its complete noninvasiveness and flexibility are less onerous for patients. For the use of screening as well as scrutiny, MRCP has played an important role in diagnosing various pathologies in this field. The usefulness of MRCP is not limited to anatomical evaluations; it can also yield physiologic and functional information. From a cost-performance basis, MRCP is undoubt
A case of an isolated dissecting aneurysm of the superior mesenteric artery is presented with special references to the findings of CT and angiography. Intimal flaps and the true or false lumina were well identified on thin-section CT with contrast enhancement.
Use of contrast-enhanced multiphase 3D MRA with ultrafast SPGR with shorter TR and TE resulted in clear images of the lateral saccular aneurysm model.
4D-flow can characterize abnormal non-laminar flow dynamics within the dilated aorta in vivo. The wall of the infrarenal aortic dilatation is continuously and increasingly affected by atherogenic stimuli due to the flow disturbances represented by vortex or helical flow, which is reflected by lower WSS and higher OSI.
Dynamic MR dacryocystography, which requires neither ionizing radiation nor chemical contrast media with high viscosity, may be a useful tool for depicting nasolacrimal obstructions.
