本研究室では、細胞の三次元構造と動的挙動を高精度で可視化・解析するための光学的イメージング技術を開発・応用しています。特に、CCDセンサーを活用した高分解能・高感度な顕微鏡技術や、マルチスペクトルイメージングを用いた生きた細胞の同時多色観察が主な研究テーマです。遺伝子の核内位置や染色体の対合メカニズム、そしてコドン使用のバイアスと遺伝子発現の関係についても、画像解析と分子生物学的手法を融合して解明しています。
