岡野義一教授の研究室は、再生医療および口腔・顎顔面領域の組織工学を柱として、血小板含有血漿(PRP)が骨吸収を抑制するメカニズムや、表面トポグラフィーが幹細胞の挙動に与える影響を解明しています。特に、顎顔面領域の骨再生を促進する材料や手術法の開発、インプラント周囲の生体適合性・機械的挙動の最適化にも注力しています。臨床的応用に結びつく、基礎と臨床をつなぐ研究が特徴です。

Under our experimental conditions, platelet-rich plasma decreased the formation of TRAP-positive multinucleated cells and increased the secretion of osteoprotegerin.
