Yoshihiro Ogawa教授の研究室では、肥満に伴う慢性炎症がインスリン抵抗性や代謝症候群に与える影響を、脂肪ドーパミンやビオアクティブなアドポサイトーキンのバランスに着目して解明しています。特に内臓脂肪の肥満が引き起こす低炎症状態のメカニズムや、心房性ナトリウムペプチド(BNP)の心臓内合成・分泌機構の解明を進めています。心臓におけるBNPの発現とその調節機構の解明を通じて、心不全や代謝疾患の病態解明に貢献することを目的としています。

To study synthesis, storage, and secretion of brain natriuretic peptide (BNP) in the heart, we have measured BNP mRNA and BNP concentrations in the hearts of Wistar-Kyoto rats and also have investigated its secretion from the isolated perfused heart.
