Professor Young-Ho Kim's research lab specializes in power electronics and renewable energy systems, with a focus on enhancing the efficiency and reliability of photovoltaic (PV) power conversion systems. The lab develops advanced control strategies for interleaved flyback inverters and synchronous rectifiers in PV ac modules, aiming to optimize performance across varying solar irradiance and load conditions. Additionally, the lab explores clinical applications of medical procedures, particularly in colonoscopy and gastrointestinal disease management, demonstrating a multidisciplinary approach combining engineering with biomedical applications. Recent work also examines the long-term outcomes and prognostic factors in early-onset colorectal cancer and neurodegenerative risks in inflammatory bowel disease patients.

In this paper, a new control strategy for improving weighted efficiency in photovoltaic (PV) ac module-type interleaved flyback inverters (ILFIs) is proposed.
