本研究室では、脳内での脂肪酸の取り扱いを担うFABP(脂肪酸結合タンパク質)の機能解明を柱とし、神経発達・脳機能・神経疾患・がんのメタボリズムにまで広がる多角的アプローチを展開しています。特にFABP7やB-FABPを標的とした神経細胞の形態・機能制御、がん幹細胞における脂質代謝の役割を分子・細胞レベルで解明しています。脳の発達・機能維持・疾患発症のメカニズム解明に貢献することを目的としています。
