연구실 소개

정은주 교수의 연구실은 만성질환과 환경요인 간의 상관관계를 중심으로 연구를 진행하고 있습니다. 특히 암, 심혈관질환, 간 섬유화 등 노령화와 관련된 질환의 발병 메커니즘과 예방 전략을 생물학적· epidemiological 접근을 통해 규명하고 있습니다. 또한 천연물에서 유래한 신경보호 및 간 섬유화 억제 물질의 기전을 규명하며 신약 개발 가능성도 모색하고 있습니다. 환경오염물질인 PM2.5와 오존이 노인 사망률에 미치는 영향에 대해서도 실증적 데이터를 확보하고 있습니다.
