연구실 소개
최기영 교수의 연구실은 위암, 뇌신경종양(특히 간질성뇌신생물), 대장암 등 다양한 암의 분자기전을 밝히는 데 초점을 맞추고 있습니다. 특히 PI3K/PTEN 신호전달 경로와 MMP-9, HER2, H. pylori 감염 등 암 발생과 진전에 관여하는 분자적 요인들을 임상적 맥락에서 분석하며, 이는 표적치료제 개발과 개인화된 치료 전략 수립에 기여합니다. 또한 위장관계 암의 조기 진단을 위한 생물학적 마커(예: PG I/II 비율)의 임상적 유용성에 대해서도 연구하고 있습니다.

This study aimed at determining the incidence and clinical implications of HER2 status in primary colorectal cancer (CRC). HER2 status was investigated in two retrospective cohorts of 365 consecutive CRC patients (cohort 1) and 174 advanced CRC patients with synchronous or metachronous distant metastasis (cohort 2). We report a case of massive hepatic infection by Capillaria hepatica in a 14-month-old girl who presented with the symptom triad of persistent fever, hepatomegaly, and leukocytosis with eosinophilia. Twenty-five cases of human infection with this parasite, mostly in children, have been reported in the literature. This is the first case of hepatic capillariasis reported in the Republic of Korea.
