15This study examines pedagogical grammar contents at the level of discourse until now and then proposes future-oriented contents especially focusing on ‘un/nun’, ‘i/ka’ markers and some anaphora. First of all it analyzed pedagogical objects and contents from the 4th curriculum through 7th curriculum which pronounced discourse-based grammar teaching and found that we should consider teaching contents in terms of the three following issues: First, there were some problems that ‘discourse’ was only
In this paper, we present the world's first single-chip field-programmable gate array holographic video processor. It makes 16 computer-generated color holograms of resolution 1920 × 1080 in a second. It uses an off-the-shelf commercial liquid crystral display for the spatial light modulator. To build a single-chip holographic video processor, we used a layer-based computer-generated hologram (CGH) algorithm and a hardware efficient CGH architecture using fixed-point arithmetic. The single-chip
Kim Hojung. 2006. 10. 30. A Study on the Contents of Pedagogical Grammar Knowledge for Korean Language Teachers: Focusing on Korean Adnominal Constructions. Bilingual Research 32, 159-190. This study aims to present what pedagogical grammar knowledge is needed for language teachers regarding to Korean adnominal constructions. For pedagogical grammar knowledge, teachers should know grammatical features of Korean adnominal constructions which can be problematic for Korean language learners. Also,
This study provides a modeling framework for spike-driven muscle responses during movement, that is suitable not only for insights into molecular mechanisms underlying muscle behaviors but also for large scale simulations.
The three-dimensionally alternating integration of stackable logic devices with memory cells represents a revolutionary approach to the fabrication of extremely high density memory devices. Conventional silicon-based memory devices face impending limits if they are progressively scaled toward smaller-sized features. Here, we present a high-density memory architecture that utilizes electronically active oxide thin-film transistors (TFTs) combined with memory elements such as vertical NAND and res
NestMC is a new multicompartment neural network simulator currently under development as a collaboration between the Simulation Lab Neuroscience at the Forschungszentrum Jlich, the Barcelona Supercomputing Center and the Swiss National Supercomputing Center. NestMC will enable new scales and classes of morphologically detailed neuronal network simulations on current and future supercomputing architectures. A number of "many-core" architectures such as GPU and Intel Xeon Phi based systems are cur
Our goal was to investigate how the propagation of alternating signals (i.e. AC), like action potentials, into the dendrites influenced nonlinear firing behaviour of motor neurons using a systematically reduced neuron model. A recently developed reduced modeling approach using only steady-current (i.e. DC) signaling was analytically expanded to retain features of the frequency-response analysis carried out in multicompartment anatomically reconstructed models. Bifurcation analysis of the extende
Abstract Common substitution positions of flavonols are at C‐5 and C‐7; 6‐substituted flavonol derivatives are rarely found in natural sources. Here, we report complete assignments of 1 H and 13 C chemical shifts of eight flavonol derivatives including four 6‐substituted flavonols. Copyright © 2005 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.
It is widely recognized that propagation of electrophysiological signals between the soma and dendrites of neurons differs depending on direction, i.e. it is asymmetric. How this asymmetry influences the activation of voltage-gated dendritic channels, and consequent neuronal behavior, remains unclear. Based on the analysis of asymmetry in several types of motoneurons, we extended our previous methodology for reducing a fully reconstructed motoneuron model to a two-compartment representation that
Persistent inward current (PIC)-generating Cav1.3 channels in spinal motoneuron dendrites are thought to be actively recruited during normal behaviors. However, whether and how the activation of PIC channels influences force output of motor unit remains elusive. Here, building a physiologically realistic model of slow motor unit I demonstrated that force production induced by the PIC activation is much smaller for short than lengthened muscles during the regular firing of the motoneur
More than 2 billion people are using the Internet at present, assisted by the mediating activities of software agents that deal with the diversity and complexity of information. There are, however, ethical issues due to the monitoring-and-surveillance, data-mining, and autonomous nature of software agents. Considering the context, this study aims to comprehend stakeholders’ perspectives on the social network service environment to identify the main considerations for the design of software agent
