연구실 소개
이 교수의 연구실은 주로 토양 및 동물 장내 미생물군집과 그 대사 활성, 특히 메탄 생성 및 소모 미생물의 역할을 중심으로 한 생태학적·분자생물학적 연구를 수행하고 있습니다. 농업 생태계(논 등)와 반추동물의 장내 미생물 조합, 대사물질 간의 상호작용을 고해상도 유전자 시퀀싱과 대사체 분석을 통해 규명하고 있으며, 이는 기후 변화와 대사질환 예방에 기여하는 기초 자료로 활용되고 있습니다. 특히 메탄 순환과 관련된 미생물 군집의 공간적·시간적 변화를 다각도로 분석함으로써 환경 보존과 농업 지속 가능성을 위한 과학적 근거를 마련하고자 합니다.
