연구실 소개
박현웅 교수의 연구실은 환경오염물질과 만성질환 간의 인과관계를 규명하는 데 초점을 맞추고 있습니다. 특히 환경 내부분해물질인 프탈레이트, 비스페놀A, 다환화합물 등이 비만, 당뇨병, 만성신장질환 등 대사 및 신기능 이상과 어떻게 연관되는지 생물학적 마커를 활용해 체계적으로 분석하고 있습니다. 또한, 바이러스의 대변 및 구강 분비를 통한 전파 가능성을 탐색하는 감염병 분야의 연구도 함께 진행하고 있습니다. 이는 환경 건강학과 임상의학의 융합적 접근을 바탕으로 한 종합적 질병 예방 전략 개발을 목표로 합니다.

15Along with positive SARS-CoV-2 RNA in nasopharyngeal swabs, viral RNA was detectable at high concentration for >3 weeks in fecal samples from 12 mildly symptomatic and asymptomatic children with COVID-19 in Seoul, South Korea. Saliva also tested positive during the early phase of infection. If proven infectious, feces and saliva could serve as transmission sources.

Phthalates and bisphenol A (BPA) have been suspected as risk factors for obesity and diabetes mellitus (DM) among humans. However, associations between phthalates and environmental phenols are often inconsistent across different populations. In this study, we recruited the adult population (n = 3782) of the Korean National Environmental Health Survey (KoNEHS) 2015-2017 (Cycle 3) and assessed the associations between urinary biomarkers of phthalate, BPA, and paraben exposure with obesity and DM.
ACDF using the Solis cage packed with Grafton demonstrated good clinical and radiologic outcomes. The fusion rate was comparable with the published results of the traditional ACDF using tricortical iliac crest grafts. Therefore, the results of this study suggest that the ongoing use of the PEEK cage packed with DBM and autologous bone chips in ACDF is a safe and effective alternative to the gold standard of autologous iliac bone grafts.
Chronic kidney disease (CKD) is a global health threat of growing concern. Mutations of FZD4 accounted for the largest proportion, which could be directly applied to the testing strategy to start with screening for FZD4 mutations. Panel sequencing consisting of related genes would be an alternative choice for the diagnosis of FEVR. Also, genotype-phenotype correlation suggested in this study could be helpful in genetic counseling of the probands and their family members as well.

The Piccolo xpress Chemistry Analyzer can analyze multiple analytes with a minimal amount of whole blood in a short time. It showed an acceptable performance for precision, linearity and comparison with central laboratory analyzer. It can be useful as a screening tests modality in mobile clinics, ambulances, and field clinics for military use, and for pediatric patients from whom enough sample volume is difficult to obtain.
Several studies reported that severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus-2 antibody levels change over 6 months in participants receiving the vaccination. From the enrolled 272 health care workers (HCWs), blood samples were obtained at 2, 16, and 24 weeks after the second vaccination dose. 배경 : 현장검사는 신속하고 간편하여 환자의 진단과 치료효 과 판정에 빠르게 적용할 수 있기 때문에 점차 그 적용범위가 늘 어나고 있다. 저자들은 현장검사 화학분석장비인 Piccolo xpress Chemistry Analyzer (Abaxis, USA)의 성능을 평가하였다. 방법 : Comprehensive Metabolic Reagent 디스크에 100 mcL의 검체를 이용하여 14가지 항목(나트륨, 칼륨, 염소, 칼슘, 총 이산화탄소, AST, ALT, 알칼리인산분해효소, 총 빌리루빈, 혈당, 혈액요소질소, 크레아티닌, 알부민, 총 단백질)을 동시에 측정하였다. 검사차례내 정밀도와 총 정밀도는 CLSI EP15-A 에 준하여 평가하였으며, 직선성은 CLSI EP6-A에 준하여 평 가하였다. 중앙검사실 장비와의 상관성은 144개의 환자 검체를 이용하여 평가하였다. 결과 : 검사차례내 정밀도와 총 정밀도의 변이계수(CV)는 낮 은 농도의 총 이산화탄소, ALT, 알칼리인산분해효소,
