연구실 소개
정현수 교수의 연구실은 위장관계 전악성 병변, 특히 위암의 전암성 병변인 장세포화이상( intestinal metaplasia)의 분자적 기전과 세포 유형 간 이질성을 밝혀내는 데 초점을 맞추고 있습니다. 단세포 분석과 공간적 유전자 발현 프로파일링을 통해 조기 암 발생과 연관된 내시경적 생체지표를 규명하고 있으며, 특히 chromatin 조절 및 장세포 유지 기전과 관련된 핵심 유전자들(예: ARID1A, SOX9)의 기능을 탐색하고 있습니다. 또한, 위암의 조기 진단 및 예후 예측을 위한 분자 분류체계 수립에도 기여하고 있습니다.

15Intestinal metaplasia (IM) is a pre-malignant condition of the gastric mucosa associated with increased gastric cancer (GC) risk. Analyzing 1,256 gastric samples (1,152 IMs) across 692 subjects from a prospective 10-year study, we identify 26 IM driver genes in diverse pathways including chromatin regulation (ARID1A) and intestinal homeostasis (SOX9). Postesophagectomy gastric outlet obstruction occurs in 20 % – 30 % of patients who undergo esophagectomy and is associated with significant morbidity and delayed recovery [1]. Recently, endoscopic pyloromyotomy, also called gastric peroral endoscopic myotomy (POEM), has been reported, in pigs and in a patient with refractory diabetic gastroparesis [2] [3]. We report a case of postesophagectomy delayed gastric emptying that was successfully treated with endoscopic pyloromyotomy.
Long-term outcomes of ESD are comparable with surgery for patients with SESCC. For early major complications and duration of hospital stay, ESD was associated with better outcomes than radical surgery. These results support ESD as the preferred treatment option for SESCC.
