연구실 소개

최진우 교수의 연구실은 의료 영상 및 생체유체역학 분야에서 응용된 유체역학적 메커니즘과 영상 진단 기반의 질병 평가를 중심으로 연구를 진행하고 있습니다. 특히 골프공의 저항 감소 메커니즘을 해석한 유체역학 연구와 함께, MRI 영상에서 간세포암종의 영상 패tern과 예후의 연관성, 뇌 내 GBCA 침착 메커니즘 등 정밀의료를 위한 영상 biomarker 확립에 기여하고 있습니다. 또한 골밀도 영상 분석 및 자동화된 백혈구 분류 기술 개발을 통해 임상 진단의 정밀도를 향상시키는 데에도 기여하고 있습니다.

Mechanism of drag reduction by dimples on a sphere

In this Letter we present a detailed mechanism of drag reduction by dimples on a sphere such as golf-ball dimples by measuring the streamwise velocity above the dimpled surface. Dimples cause local flow separation and trigger the shear layer instability along the separating shear layer, resulting in the generation of large turbulence intensity.
