박진수 교수의 연구실은 정보 시스템 간의 의미적 상호운용성과 온톨로지 기반 지능형 시스템 개발에 초점을 맞추고 있습니다. 특히 분산된 다원적 정보 환경에서 발생하는 의미 갈등을 자동으로 탐지하고 해결하는 프레임워크 및 머신러닝 기반 네트워크 성능 예측 기술을 연구하고 있습니다. 또한 e-커머스 환경에서의 소비자 채택 행동과 인공지능 기반 자동 협상 시스템 개발을 통해 디지털 거래 환경의 지능화를 선도하고 있습니다.

국내 미디어 엔터테인먼트 산업의 성장과 도전: CJ 엔터테인먼트의 수직통합 사례를 중심으로

본 사례는 국내 미디어 엔터테인먼트 산업의 성장과정을 사례연구를 통해 분석하였다. 국내영화산업은 지난 수년간 급속한 성장세를 보여 왔다. 그러나 소수 기업 중심의 과점화, 한정된 시장에서의 경쟁격화 및 국내시장의 포화로 최근 전반적인 수익률은 점점 낮아지고 있는 상태다. 사례기업인 CJ 엔터테인먼트는 국내영화시장의 독보적인 1위 업체로서 계열사 간․기업 내 가치사슬의 수직통합 시너지를 잘 활용한 대표적인 사례로 손꼽힌다. 그러나 최근 국내시장의 위협과 해외시장의 진출 이슈 등 새로운 전략적 방향 설정이 필요한 때이기도 하다. 본 사례는 여타 산업과 다른 영화산업만의 고유한 특성을 분석하는 것으로 시작한다. 이후, CJ 엔터테인먼트의 설립 이후 지난 10년을 중심으로 어떻게 성공적으로 수직통합을 이루었는지 고찰하였다. 마지막으로, 향후 지속적인 성장을 위한 전략적 이슈들을 살펴봄으로써 한국 미디어 엔터테인먼트 기업들이 처한 국내외 경쟁환경에 대한 시사점을 제공하였다.
