연구실 소개

이 교수의 연구실은 암흑물질의 정체를 밝히기 위한 다각적 접근을 선도하고 있습니다. 직접 탐지, 간접 탐지, 입자 충돌 실험, 천체물리적 탐사 등 다양한 탐지 기법 간의 상호보완성을 강조하며, 특히 초저온 게르마늄 및 실리콘 결정을 활용한 암흑물질 탐지 실험과 함께, 초전도 자기장과 양자한계에 가까운 증폭기 기술을 접목한 초우주적 입자인 옥시온 탐지 기술 개발에 주력하고 있습니다. 또한 방향 민감도를 갖춘 탐지기 설계와 우주 배경 중성미자 붕괴 탐지 등 천체물리학적 현상과도 연계된 고도화된 실험 기술을 개발하고 있습니다.

We present measurements of ${\ensuremath{\nu}}_{\ensuremath{\mu}}$ disappearance in K2K, the KEK to Kamioka long-baseline neutrino oscillation experiment. We present results for nu(mu) oscillation in the KEK to Kamioka (K2K) long-baseline neutrino oscillation experiment. K2K uses an accelerator-produced nu(mu) beam with a mean energy of 1.3 GeV directed at the Super-Kamiokande detector. We observed the energy-dependent disappearance of nu(mu), which we presume have oscillated to nu(tau). The probability that we would observe these results if there is no neutrino oscillation is 0.0050% (4.0 sigma).
