연구실 소개

박종일 교수의 연구실은 주로 고해상도 레이더 영상 처리와 4차원 다양체의 미분구조에 대한 수학적 연구를 중심으로 활동하고 있습니다. SAR 및 ISAR 영상에서의 목표물 식별 성능을 향상시키기 위한 고성능 분류 알고리즘과 스펙트럼 추정 기법의 응용이 주요 연구 과제이며, 동시에 미분위상수학 분야에서의 새로운 smooth structure 발견과 Seiberg-Witten 불변량 계산에도 기여하고 있습니다. 특히 비시각적 마커 기반 증강현실 기술 개발을 통해 실세계 응용에 기여하고자 합니다.

Seiberg-Witten invariants of generalised rational blow-downs

One of the main problems in Seiberg-Witten theory is to find (SW)-basic classes and their invariants for a given smooth 4-manifold. The rational blow-down procedure introduced by Fintushel and Stern is one way to compute these invariants for some smooth 4-manifolds. In this paper, we extend their results to the general case. That is, we find (SW)-basic classes and Seiberg-Witten invariants for generalised rational blow-down 4-manifolds by using index computations.

Simply connected closed symplectic 4-manifolds with b 2 + = 1 and K2 = 0 are investigated. As a result, it is confirmed that most of homotopy elliptic surfaces {E(1)k|K is a fibred knot in S3} constructed by R. Fintushel and R. Stern in Invent. Math. 134 (1998) 363–400 are simply connected closed minimal symplectic 4-manifolds that do not admit a complex structure. 2000 Mathematics Subject Classification 57R17, 57R57 (primary), 14J26 (secondary).
