SJR Q1FWCI 17.4Advanced Functional MaterialsOA

The exciplex forming co‐host with phosphorescent dopant system has potential to realize highly efficient phosphorescent organic light emitting didoes (PhOLEDs). However, the exciplex forming co‐host for blue phosphorescent OLEDs has been rarely introduced because of higher triplet level of the blue dopant than green and red dopants. In this work, a novel exciplex forming co‐host with high triplet energy level is developed by mixing a phosphine oxide based electron transporting material, PO‐T2T,

SJR Q1FWCI 9.1Advanced Functional Materials

Bimolecular and trap‐assisted recombination mechanisms are investigated in small molecule‐based phosphorescent organic light emitting diodes (PhOLEDs) using the current−voltage−luminance characteristics in the diffusion current region, along with transient electroluminescence and capacitance measurements. Two different PhOLEDs, one with a single host, 4,4′‐Bis(carbazol‐9‐yl)biphenyl, and the other with an exciplex‐forming co‐host, are studied. Trap‐assisted recombination with a large number of t

After fecal microbiota transplantation (FMT) to treat <i>Clostridioides difficile</i> infection (CDI), cognitive improvement is noticeable, suggesting an essential association between the gut microbiome and neural function. Although it is known that the gut microbiome is linked with cognitive function, whether FMT may lead to cognitive improvement in patients with neurodegenerative disorders remains to be elucidated. We present the case of a 90-year-old woman with Alzheimer's dementia and severe

Exciplex-Forming Co-Host-Based Red Phosphorescent Organic Light-Emitting Diodes with Long Operational Stability and High Efficiency

SJR Q1FWCI 10.5ACS Applied Materials & Interfaces

The use of exciplex forming cohosts and phosphors incredibly boosts the efficiency of organic light-emitting diodes (OLEDs) by providing a barrier-free charge injection into an emitting layer and a broad recombination zone. However, most of the efficient OLEDs based on the exciplex forming cohosts has suffered from the short operational lifetime. Here, we demonstrated phosphorescent OLEDs (PhOLEDs) having both high efficiency and long lifetime by using a new exciplex forming cohost composed of N

Dense Local Triplet States and Steric Shielding of a Multi‐Resonance TADF Emitter Enable High‐Performance Deep‐Blue OLEDs

SJR Q1FWCI 12.3Advanced Materials

Multi-resonance thermally activated delayed fluorescence (MR-TADF) molecules based on boron and nitrogen atoms are emerging as next-generation blue emitters for organic light-emitting diodes (OLEDs) due to their narrow emission spectra and triplet harvesting properties. However, intermolecular aggregation stemming from the planar structure of typical MR-TADF molecules that leads to concentration quenching and broadened spectra limits the utilization of the full potential of MR-TADF emitters. Triptycene‐Fused Sterically Shielded Multi‐Resonance TADF Emitter Enables High‐Efficiency Deep Blue OLEDs with Reduced Dexter Energy Transfer

SJR Q1FWCI 11.7Angewandte Chemie International Edition

Designing multi-resonance (MR) emitters that can simultaneously achieve narrowband emission and suppressed intermolecular interactions is challenging for realizing high color purity and stable blue organic light-emitting diodes (OLEDs). Herein, a sterically shielded yet extremely rigid emitter based on a triptycene-fused B,N core (Tp-DABNA) is proposed to address the issue. Tp-DABNA exhibits intense deep blue emissions with a narrow full width at half maximum (FWHM) and a high horizontal transit

Boron‐Based Multi‐Resonance TADF Emitter with Suppressed Intermolecular Interaction and Isomer Formation for Efficient Pure Blue OLEDs

SJR Q1FWCI 7.1Small

Multi-resonance (MR) thermally activated delayed fluorescent (TADF) emitters are highly attractive due to their superior color purity as well as efficient light-harvesting ability from singlets and triplets. However, boron and nitrogen-based MR-TADF emitters suffer from their strong π-π interaction owing to their rigid flat cores. Herein, a boron-based multi-resonance blue TADF emitter with suppressed intermolecular interaction and isomer formation is developed through a simple synthetic process

SJR Q1FWCI 6.4ACS Applied Materials & Interfaces

Compared to Ir(III) complexes with octahedral geometries, Pt(II) complexes with square planar geometries show superior optical properties because their flat shapes lead to an orientation that enhances the outcoupling of organic light-emitting diodes (OLEDs). However, the flat shapes of Pt(II) complexes typically induce a bathochromic shift, limiting their application in high-performance deep-blue phosphorescent OLEDs with high color purity. In this study, bulky trimethylsilyl (TMS)-substituted b

Organic-inorganic hybrid perovskite light-emitting diodes (PeLEDs) are promising for next-generation optoelectronic devices due to their potential to achieve high color purity, efficiency, and brightness. Although the external quantum efficiency (EQE) of PeLEDs has recently surpassed 20%, various strategies are being pursued to increase EQE further and reduce the EQE gap compared to other LED technologies. A key point to further boost EQE of PeLEDs is linked to the high refractive index of the p

A high performance transparent inverted organic light emitting device with a total maximum luminance efficiency of 67 cd A−1 and power efficiency of 67 lm W−1 was realized using 1,4,5,8,9,11-hexaazatriphenylenehexacarbonitrile (HATCN) as an organic buffer material. HATCN, a discoid organic molecule, effectively protected the underlying organic emission layers from damage caused by sputter deposition of the indium zinc oxide top electrode, and simultaneously showed good hole injection performance
