연구실 소개
장정민 교수의 연구실은 유방암의 정밀 진단과 영상 유도 치료에 중점을 두고 있으며, 특히 초음파 및 PET 영상 기반의 림프절 및 종양 병변의 정확한 판별 기술 개발에 주력하고 있습니다. 유방암 환자의 치료 계획 수립을 위한 영상 소견의 임상적 유의미성 평가와 함께, 유사한 영상 소견을 보이는 악성 종양과 양성 병변을 구분하는 데 초점을 맞춘 다학제적 진단 기법의 최적화를 연구하고 있습니다. 특히 초음파 엘라스토그래피, FDG-PET의 임상적 적용 한계 및 보완 전략에 대한 심층적 분석을 수행하고 있습니다.

The diagnostic performance of shear-wave and strain elastography was similar. Either elastography technique can improve overall diagnostic performance in the differentiation of benign and malignant lesions when combined with B-mode ultrasound. However, the sensitivity and specificity of shear-wave and strain elastography were different according to lesion histologic profile, tumor grade, and breast thickness.
Breast thickness at the location of the lesion was the most important factor influencing image quality at US elastography. Sensitivity for classification of benign and malignant masses improved with higher quality scores.
Our results show that the upgrade rate to malignancy determined by surgery for ultrasound-detected benign papillomas at core needle biopsy was 3.1% (2/64). Accordingly, for the accurate diagnosis of ultrasound-detected benign papillomas at core needle biopsy, surgical excision is recommended.
